Capt. Stu Caulder owns Goldleader Guide Service and Goldleader Custom Baits. He was born and raised in Wilmington NC and has fished the Cape Fear River, southeast beaches and surrounding areas his entire life. Capt. Caulders main emphasis in fishing is using artificial lures.

His favorite species that he targets are seasonal, trout and red drum year round, striped bass in the colder months, cobia in the spring and tarpon in the summer. Technical fishing is his passion with an emphasis on pattern recognition, lure presentation, boat positioning and lure color.
